Certificate II in Business


This qualification reflects the role of individuals in a variety of junior administrative positions who perform a range of mainly routine tasks using limited practical skills and fundamental operational knowledge in a defined context. Individuals in these roles generally work under direct supervision.

Packaging rules:

​12 units including:

  • 1 core unit
  • 11 elective units
    • 7 electives from the listed electives
    • 4 electives from the listed electives, or any currently endorsed Training Package or accredited course at the same level
    • if not listed below, 2 of the 4 elective units may be selected from a Certificate I or Certificate II qualification 

Elective units must be relevant to the work environment and the qualification, maintain the integrity of the AQF alignment and contribute to a valid, industry-supported vocational outcome

Course Fees:
New traineeships commencing from 1 January 2020 are fully subsidised by the NSW Government under Smart and Skilled.

For traineeships commenced prior to 1 January 2020, student fees are capped at $1,000 with the remaining qualification price subsidised under NSW Smart and Skilled.
