Employability Skills Training

Employability Skills Training (EST) focuses on essential employment skills to transition into the workforce, achieve goals and connect with local employers. EST offers participants the opportunity to gain accredited and non-accredited industry specific skills to set them apart and stand out.


Interested in Hospitality?

Enrol in our Pathways to Industry training and walk away with accredited training including a certificate in Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA), and the knowledge and capabilities to dive into employment.


Collaborate with consultants, trainers, and industry experts in identifying employment and further training opportunities within your local area relevant to skills, goals, and the local job market.

About the program

EST focuses on job preparation skills where we will research career opportunities and developing interview skills and industry awareness in an all-inclusive environment.

Our facilitator(s) brings a wealth of knowledge and experience from employment services and training to support the people we work with, along with other industry experts who can provide valuable insight into current employment requirements.

Gain the confidence and the know how to secure that job!

  • Delivered face to face and online.
  • Programs provide 75 hours of support and are held full-time (25 hrs per week) over 3 weeks or part-time (15 hrs per week) over 5 weeks.

Skills Launchpad: Employment Basics

An introduction to essential workplace skills and applying for work.

  • Effective communication, teamwork and conflict techniques.
  • Use a variety of techniques & strategies to seek and apply for work.

To participate in Employability Skills Training, you must be aged 15 years and over, and be:

  • Receiving a Centrelink payment with mutual obligation requirements, or the Disability Support Pension with compulsory participation requirements*
  • Participating in one of the following eligible employment services:
    • Workforce Australia Employment Services
    • Workforce Australia Online
    • Transition to Work
    • Yarrabah Employment Services
    • Disability Employment Services (Employment Assistance phase).
