  • Overview

    This course describes the skills and knowledge required to identify, locate, and protect underground services in civil construction and infrastructure projects. It applies to workers who are involved in excavation, trenching, or ground disturbance activities where there is a risk of damaging underground utilities such as water, gas, electricity, and telecommunications.

    By the end of the course, you will be able to:
  • Interpret and apply site plans and service diagrams
  • Use Dial Before You Dig (DBYD) and other service location tools
  • Identify and mark the location of underground services
  • Apply risk control measures to protect underground assets
  • Communicate with relevant authorities and team members
  • Follow WHS procedures and environmental protection requirements

  • Certification: You will receive a Statement of Attainment upon successful completion of this course.
