Entry Requirements
  • It is recommended that students hold unit CPCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry (White Card)
  • Students are required to provide 100 points of ID on the first day of training.
  • Students must be 17 years old.

  • Overview

    This dual skill set course equips you with the knowledge and practical skills to control traffic using stop/slow bats and portable traffic control devices and implement traffic management plans and set up traffic guidance schemes.

    It is designed for individuals working in civil construction, road maintenance, utilities, and infrastructure projects, and is aligned with SafeWork NSW Traffic Control Work Training (TCWT) requirements.

    By the end of the course, you will be able to:
  • Safely control traffic using stop/slow bats and portable devices
  • Interpret and implement traffic management plans (TMPs) and traffic guidance schemes (TGSs)
  • Set up, monitor, and remove traffic control devices
  • Apply WHS policies and risk management procedures
  • Communicate effectively with team members and the public

  • Certification: Upon successful completion of the course on day three, students will receive a Statement of Attainment from us, and a TCWT Statement of Completion (SOC) which is valid for 90 days. Within the 90 days you will receive your SafeWork NSW Traffic Control Training Card.
