Entry Requirements
  • Students are required to provide ID on the day of training.
  • Students are required to hold pre-requisite unit SITXFSA005.
  • Students must complete a Language, Literacy and Numeracy quiz prior to enrolment.

  • Overview

    Overview: This course describes the skills and knowledge required to prepare and serve a variety of non-alcoholic beverages, including teas, non-espresso coffees, smoothies, juices, milkshakes, mocktails, and other specialty drinks. It focuses on selecting appropriate ingredients and equipment, using correct preparation methods, and presenting beverages attractively and hygienically.

    This unit does not cover espresso coffee preparation, which is addressed in SITHFAB025 – Prepare and Serve Espresso Coffee.

    By the end of the course, you will be able to:
  • Identify customer preferences and select suitable ingredients
  • Use appropriate equipment safely and hygienically
  • Prepare a range of non-alcoholic beverages to meet quality standards
  • Present beverages attractively with appropriate garnishes and accompaniments
  • Minimise waste and follow workplace hygiene and safety procedures

  • Certification: You will receive a Statement of Attainment upon successful completion of this course.
