Entry Requirements
  • Students must hold a valid RCG competency card
  • Students must be turning 18 years old
  • Students are required to provide photo ID on the day of training
  • Students must complete a Language, Literacy and Numeracy quiz prior to enrolment

  • Overview

    This course provides you with the resources and practical skills to identify and proactively intervene to support patrons that might be experiencing gambling harm. This includes:
  • Anticipating and managing high-intensity situations using advanced interpersonal skills
  • Managing high-intensity situations involving distressed patrons
  • Leading a culture of proactive gambling harm minimisation
  • Responsible conduct of gambling in practice

  • The course ensures that senior management:
  • Are aware of their harm minimisation obligations
  • Can help drive venue culture
  • Are equipped to support RGOs in circumstances where RGOs may need to escalate serious instances of gambling harm to senior management

  • The NSW government has mandated this training for Responsible Gambling Officers (RGO’s) and other senior roles within hotels and clubs that operate gaming machines.     Certification: Upon successful completion of this course, you will receive a Certificate of Attendance from us, and your digital RCG competency card will be automatically updated. You can request for your physical card to be updated via Competency Card Transactions.
